Position: Offshore - Electrician 

Reports to: According to Organization chart 

Nationality: Only Ivorian


Responsibility and authority


Key tasks and responsibilities

• Operate power plant, electrical distribution system and Power Management System;

• Perform condition monitoring and troubleshooting of power plant and electrical distribution system as per Computerised Maintenance Management System;

• Perform maintenance of power plant, electrical distribution system and electrical equipment;

• Perform maintenance of emergency power systems;

• Maintain Ex rating of electrical equipment as per design;

• Assist in pre-commissioning and commissioning;

• Perform electrical spare parts and consumables stock control;

• Liaise with other departments for coordination of maintenance activities;

• Use the Permit to Work system. Prepare Permits, complete checklists and attachments.

Follow the Permit to Work procedures;

• Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System. Produce reports, update records, generate work orders;

• Prepare required reports;

• Ensure that vendors and contractors are managed safely and effectively;

• Undertake training relevant to the position requirements;

• On-the-job-training of colleagues and trainees;

• Member of Emergency Response Team.

The holder of this position has the necessary authorities to carry out the responsibilities stated above.

Qualification requirements

Education

• According to Training Matrix.

Experience

• One year experience as an Electrician, preferably in oil/gas industry. Can be substituted with

three years’ experience on FPSO or other offshore installations in other positions.


Interpersonal skills:


• Good inter-personal and communications skills;

Knowledge

• According to Client Competence Assurance Matrix;

• According to Client English Language Proficiency Matrix.

• Good computer and use of computerized maintenance management skills.
