Responsibility and authority:
Key tasks and responsibilities
Assist to organize and control work performed by the deck crew;
Assist in marine operations i.e. mooring/ unmooring, hose and hawser operations etc.;
Assist in all cargo operations i.e. loading / discharging of crude, Crude Oil Washing, slop and ballast water transfer, sampling etc.;
Assist in condition monitoring of cargo and marine equipment on deck and in the pump room. Report abnormalities;
Assist in supply vessel operations. Undertake receiving and handling of stores and supplies;
Assist in crane operations;
Assist in inspections, routine and non-routine maintenance of Life Saving Appliances and
Fire Fighting Equipment;
Assist in inspections of lifting appliances (slings, shackles, running gear etc.);
Organize, control and perform housekeeping of deck areas, accommodation, enclosed and machinery spaces; Ensure cleanliness is maintained;
Assist in tank entry safety arrangements and equipment preparation;
Perform tank works (cleaning, scale removal and maintenance assistance);
Assist in planning of deck maintenance activities;
Organize, control and perform structural maintenance of deck areas, accommodation, enclosed and machinery spaces;
Erect and dismantle scaffolding;
Assist in helicopter operations;
Assist with the waste management and perform waste collection, segregation and processing;
Assist in routine and non-routine maintenance activities on process, utility and marine equipment;
Perform cargo hose and mooring hawser maintenance including maintenance performed from the work boat;
Keep all deck equipment, tools, stores and workshops in good order;
Ensure sufficient stock of relevant spare parts and consumables;
Use the Permit to Work system. Follow the PTW procedures. Complete the required checklists. Prepare the worksite. Ensure safe conditions are maintained. Close the Permit;
Assist to ensure that vendors and contractors are managed safely and effectively;
Undertake training relevant to the position requirements;
On-the-job-training of subordinates and trainees;
Member of Emergency Response Team.

Qualification requirements
Education
According to Training Matrix.
Experience
Previous experience as Bosun, GP Marine, Able Seaman or higher ranks on offshore facilities or marine vessels.
Interpersonal skills
Good inter-personal and communications skills;
Knowledge

According to Client English Language Proficiency Matrix.
